Trash Humpers by Harmony Korine starts its journey

Harmony Korine - always, as he says, one leg in a gutter - presses his worn vhs tape not only festival-goers. Trash Humpers, a film about recycled people who tell their stories with recycled means we had an opportunity to see in the New Horizons Competition at the 10th NH festival is now available on all possible carriers (limited edition of 300 vhs copies signed by the director, 5 35mm copies, dvd and a file to be downloaded from the internet) and it starts its journey arounf the world.

Korine's directing debut was the excellent Gummo (1997), screened and awarded at festivals in Venice, Rotterdam and Gijon. Korine's next project was (the first in the United States and the sixth ever) film made according to principales of the Dogma 95 manifesto - Julien Donkey-Boy (1999), in which one of the leading roles was played by Werner Herzog. In 2007, after some experience with TV, videos and documentaries, he returned to cinema with Mister Lonely - a film about people who dress up as celebrities. In 2009 he made Trash Humpers.
