Wes Anderson
Born in 1969 in Houston, Texas. One of the most original comedians of the last 25 years. During college in Texas, he met Owen Wilson and decided to become involved in film. The duo co-authored a script for a comedy, shot several scenes, and submitted it to the Sundance Festival as a short. Producer and director James L. Brooks saw the film and decided to help the independent filmmakers. Under his wing, they produced Bottle Rocket, for which Anderson received an MTV Movie Award. Their second feature, Rushmore, was a sensational hit thanks to a fabulous role by Bill Murray and the acting debut of Jason Schwartzman. Andersen’s third film with Owen Wilson, The Royal Tenenbaums, is the duo’s biggest commercial and critical hit. The Fantastic Mr. Fox is the director’s first animated film.
